Everyday Usability – 14-Point Checklist for Success
Kimberly Krause-Berg, Website Magazine | 5/1/09
Congratulations to our winner! Here’s a choice bit from the winning post:
User behaviors change and evolve and it’s up to website owners to adapt. Constant attention must be given to how users and search engines interact with your site to ensure that you not only attract visitors, but give them reasons to come back. Because as every Web professional knows, the more users interact with your site, the better the odds they convert.

The top two runners-up in public voting were:
- 25-point Website Usability Checklist
Dr. Peter J. Meyers, User Effect | 2/10/09 - Taking the Guesswork Out of Design

Three Reasons Your Visitors Don’t Convert to Leads
Bryan Eisenberg, ClickZ | 4/25/08
Congratulations to our winner! Here’s a choice bit from the winning post:
Visitors must trust you. If they don’t, they don’t become leads or often they become bad leads. Visitors may even fill out a lead form if they mistrust you. Sometimes they are just going through the motion of getting proposals and pricing and are planning on buying from your competitor. You might have the better solution for them but the site or the lead process doesn’t instill enough confidence to take you seriously.
Runners-Up
The top two runners-up in public voting were:
- 25 Design Best Practices for Your Small Business Web Site
Carrie Hill, Search Engine Watch | 11/25/08 - Let’s Talk Landing Pages
Rebecca Kelley, SEOmoz | 4/29/08
The winner and runners-up are welcome to grab the appropriate badge — we have a badge for both winners and runners-up.
