Be Proactive With Your Reputation Management

Congratulations to our winner! Here’s a choice bit from the winning post:
The truth is, many businesses have heard about reputation management, but few of them are doing it proactively. In most cases, they’re probably reacting to situations like the one I described above. This is a bad situation to be in. If the negative result is already out there and being propagated, responding to it in a reactive way is like damage control. The damage has already been done, and all you can hope for is to limit the amount of damage done.

My gratitude to everyone who read my article and voted for it in the finals! I’m tremendously excited to accept this award, and I’d like to thank all the people who made this happen, particularly my manager, Liz Gessaman, my trusted advisor Michael Schwartz, the social media duo Elise Redlin-Cook and Kaila Strong (you ladies rock!), Eli Shapiro for sharing his link building skillz, and Arnie and Andi Kuenn of Vertical Measures, for giving me a chance to share my voice. Oh, and of course, my mother, who’s viral promotion of my article to her friends on Facebook probably put me over the top for the win! Peace!
