Google Analytics For Local Search: Tracking Traffic From The 10 Pack

Congratulations to our winner! Here’s a choice bit from the winning post:
Traditionally URL parameters such as those found in your tracking URL come after a ? in the URL. However we replaced the ? with a # remember? The reason we did this is search engines such as Google don’t consider URLs with # in them as ‘duplicate content’, saving us from any future problems.
The top two runners-up in public voting were:
- Track SEO rankings with Google Analytics
Andre Scholten, Yoast.com | 1/5/09
- Google Analytics Maximized: Deeper Analysis, Higher ROI & You
Avinash Kaushik, Occam’s Razor | 1/6/09
The winner and runners-up are welcome to grab the appropriate badge — we have a badge for both winners and runners-up.
